Kandersteg

We got to Kandersteg yesterday, and it started raining. That nice soggy drizzle type rain. That said, I don't have to camp any more and the tent was very crowded. Being here also means I can stop travelling for a bit. All this exploring business is very hard work and I'm starting to look almost as tousled as my companions.

Rachel was right, these mountains are much bigger than Wales, so high they disappear into the clouds.

Swiss Adventures

I am having a great time exploring Switzerland with my new friends, even if one of them is a bit strange a frequently insists on wearing this strange skirt he calls a kilt.

I have been to Lac Leman by Geneva and seen the big water jet. From there we went out to the countryside to a wine festival. There we met some very nice people, one of whom invited us to come and camp in his garden and let us use his pool house and swimming pool!

Since then we have been travelling round the lakes, sampling local wine and eating chocolate and camping by pretty lakes. I have met local Scouts, been to someones birthday party, learnt to make Rösti, met the secretary of the town council, been climbing and made lots of new friends. Last night I stayed in a real bed, made a nice change to being in a crowded tent. We are visiting Bern, the capital city today and then in two days time we will get to Kandersteg.

Next Adventure

I'm off on another adventure and it's very exciting! Doug and Stuart took me to the County AGM last night and then left me with Jenni so I can go on another holiday. Jenni is Mark Ws big sister and she and I are off to Switzerland on Saturday morning (very early, but don't tell her that yet). I hear there are lots of exciting things in Switzerland including mountains and chocolate so I shall report back.

Amazing Mountains

Since getting back from Wales Rachel has been alowing me to rest a bit before I go off to my adventures in Switzerland, I have been told that it is only a few days before I say bye to Rachel for a short time but I get to see Phil, Ange, Stuart and Doug again and spend some time with them for a while before going off to Switzerland.
I therefore have been enjoying myself by sittin in my favourite red chair watching the TV, there hasnt been a great deal on although I have enjoyed Eastenders and Neighbours although Hollyoaks seems to be the best of the three. I must admit that humans face alot of problems my life seems so simple comapred to some of theres.
I have been looking at some of the routes that I might take when Im away to switzerland in a couple of weeks aswell as reminding myself what the mountains a scenery in Wales was like, Ive been told that the ones in Switzerland will be so much bigger
