Summer Camp

At present summer camp may be a bit quiet this year I had planned to go away but the camp I was booked in on was cancelled so now I get to have a relaxing summer and possibly do some DIY and go for a Spa as I think I need one after the fun of Scoutabout.

Although Ive had many rest periods Ive had a very busy 12 months. It all started as you will remember last summer with 2 weeks in Essex at the 21st WSJ, then I visited North Wales, Switzerland (Kandersteg) followed closely by Ireland.

This year has been fairly quiet just making the odd trip here and there then in June I spent a few days at Surrey Scoutabout.

Im now starting to practice my walking for my next two big trips one of which is the West Highland Way (Scotland) in October followed next year by a return trip to Kandersteg for two weeks with the County Team.

Spa Time

Ive been having a fantastic time since I got back from the Jamboree. After spending some time with the Unit at the BBQ last week I have gone on holiday again and this time Im having a great time relaxing, eating healthily, Ive met even more friends and have been to a SPA and am now beautifuly clean. I have finally managed to get the Jambo dust out of my mane and fur and Ive even brushed my main too.

Rachel has introduced me too so many animals over the past few days Ive met Mrs T (AKA as mum (at least thats what Rachel calls her)), Piglet and many more people.

Ive been introduced to something called a piano, its fantastic, it has these buttons on it when you press them it rings out at you. I have been taught so many tunes but as yet Ive not quite managed to play Jambo yet but Im getting better.
Youll also be pleased to hear that Im not eating just meet now Ive also found something called fruit apparently its good for me and it tastes quite good too

One week to Go

Ive just read that Ive only got one week till I get to go on the Jamboree. Im so looking forward to seeing all the Unit again. Doug has been looking after me since the parents evening when I saw you all last. Ive heard that there is a big party the day we arrive and that Prince William is coming on the Saturday to see everyone there. I so hope that I get to meet him.

Mind you with 40,000 people going Im sure that the Prince will make a special effort to come and see me, after all I am the king of the Jungle after all and therefore am of Royal stock just like him.
